Surrey Wedding Venues
Surrey is a beautiful area for a wedding, with rolling hills, winding country lanes and lots of woodlands it’s also home to a fantastic variety of wedding venues. I’ve had the pleasure to shoot at many of Surrey’s top wedding venues several times, others are on my wish list of places I’d like to work.
From historic houses to rustic barns and even a vineyard, here you can find my guide to my personal top Surrey Wedding Venues.
Loseley Park
Loseley Park is a beautiful Elizabethan Manor House set in 1400 acres of rolling countryside and approached by a mile-long drive that winds its way through the parkland. I love the walled garden here and enjoy seeing it change through the seasons. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several weddings here and I also love to visit with friends in the summer. As a wedding venue, it has a great variety of spaces for different parts of the day. I love the grandeur and elegance of the interior of the house and the barn is lovely and cosy for the evening reception and there’s an almost endless variety of backdrops for photographs.

High Billinghurst Farm
A long private winding lane edged with hedgerows and wildflowers leads through the fields to this gorgeous romantic barn wedding venue. The large hay barn has a huge old inglenook fireplace and I love the way the light streams in and enhances the warm tones of this beautiful wooden building. Outdoors there’s a walled rose garden and a courtyard perfect for drink receptions with expansive views over the surrounding countryside. With extensive grounds, there’s also plenty space for marquees or tipis if required.
Hampton Court House
Hampton Court House is an elegant and stylish Georgian mansion set in eight acres of beautiful gardens and surrounded on all sides by royal parkland. Everything about this wedding venue is stunning, I love the ceremony room that’s flooded with beautiful natural light, the backdrop of Bushy Park, the gorgeous heart-shaped lake and the palm trees in the garden.

Millbridge Court
Millbridge Court is a restored 19th-century house and a wedding venue with beautiful light and airy spaces. It also happens to be less than 10 minutes from my home and much as I love to travel it always feels like a special treat to photograph a wedding on my doorstep. Brides always love the room where they get ready, a window allows them to sneak a look into the ceremony room so they can see all their guests arriving. The floor to ceiling windows allow the light to flood in and the interior of the house is a tasteful blend of modern and traditional styling.
Bury Court Barn
Bury Court sits on the borders of Surrey and Hampshire and is a stunning oak-beamed barn that blends contemporary and traditional in a unique rural setting. I love the oast house attached to the barn, a perfect location for bridal preparations. The gardens are unlike any others I’ve seen, ornamental grasses surround the courtyard garden and with a combination of tall grasses and flowering perennials, the front garden resembles a wildflower meadow. A dream location for photography!

Gate Street Barn
A lovely rustic barn wedding venue, Gate Street Barn was built in a traditional style using wood from oak trees on the farm that blew down in the hurricane of 1987. The venue is set in a beautiful secluded area in the Surrey Hills and I love the drive there along winding country lanes. Set on a working farm and surrounded by well-maintained gardens, there’s even a herd of English Longhorn cattle!
Botleys Mansion
Botleys Mansion is a grand and elegant country house wedding venue in the heart of the Surrey countryside but only a short journey from London. Surrounded by 56 acres of parkland Botleys Mansion has various rooms available and can accommodate weddings from 50 to 250 guests. There are so many beautiful features, from the sweeping stone staircases leading to the entrance, the gold leaf decorating the interior and the beautifully manicured gardens which are perfect for photography. My favourite space has to be the Atrium, this glass-roofed space looks stunning for the wedding breakfast and is flooded with light.

Botley Hill Barn
Botley Hill Barn is a rustic but luxury wedding venue surrounded by the beautiful open countryside of the North Downs.
