Hannah & Drew’s Mordiford Village Wedding
Holy Rood Church & Woolhope Village Hall
Hannah and Drew met at Manchester University in the fall of 2005. They had spotted each other straight away, but it was not until a Halloween party that they realised their feelings for each other. Immediately close, Hannah and Drew spent many wonderful and funny moments together over their seven year courtship. For their seven year anniversary, the couple decided to change it up and take a trip to Sat Bains in Nottingham. Relaxing on the couch of their picturesque room in Sat Bains, Drew completely surprised Hannah with the sweetest little box! Thinking he was giving her a pair of earrings, she was shocked when he got down on one knee, said some lovely romantic words and she hugged him yes!
The day of the wedding was grizzly to start, but soon cleared to glorious sunshine. Hannah was excited yet calm as she began her bridal transformation in her childhood home, a converted rectory next door to Holy Rood Church where the two would be married. As the sun started to peek through the clouds, everyone was quite relieved as the weather began to break! Everyone was able to enjoy the gorgeous garden that Hannah’s Mum had planted to perfectly bloom especially for their wedding day. The sun shone bright and magically amongst a sea of colourful blossoms.
Hannah’s Mum walked her proudly down the aisle. Her father had lost his battle with cancer when she was just 19 and it was very important to Hannah to be married in the church where they had said their goodbyes to her dear dad. Her Mum had always shown strength and poise and this day was no exception; she was both Mum and Dad, a floral genius while taking all her challenges in stride. The ceremony was traditional, heartfelt and filled with emotion. Hannah glowed and Drew beamed at the sight of his gorgeous blushing bride.
After the ceremony, the wedding spilled into the luscious garden that Hannah’s Mum had created just for the day. Drinks were sipped, hugs were exchanged and tears of joy spilled over. The weather stayed amazing as the group made their way to the wedding breakfast at the Woolhope Village Hall only five short minutes away. Heartfelt speeches followed a delicious meal and the happy couple glowed from the love surrounding them.
From gloomy to gorgeous – this day was surely one to cherish.
