The Happenstance London Wedding – Victoria & Chris

My Highlights

The Happenstance London Wedding

Chris and Victoria’s Vintage Wedding

It was a rather gloomy morning when I travelled into London to photograph the wedding of Chris and Victoria; they’d chosen a vintage Hollywood glamour theme for their special day, and they certainly didn’t intend to let the weather spoil their fun. It wasn’t the first time I’d met them, we have friends in common, so we’ve bumped into each other at various parties over the years, I’d also photographed Victoria’s sister’s wedding, so I felt like I already knew many of the guests.

St Etheldreda’s Wedding Ceremony

After the ceremony in the gorgeous old church of St Etheldreda, the sun came out, just in time for Chris and Victoria’s portraits. We’d almost finished when the rain returned and we were stranded under trees until a lovely lady gave Chris and Victoria her umbrella. We got some fun shots of them in the rain outside St Paul’s Cathedral, but I had to stay under my tree until Victoria’s brother James rescued me with a large umbrella to keep my camera dry.

The Happenstance Wedding Venue

But the rain certainly didn’t put a dampener on the day. A vintage bus transported everyone to The Happenstance, where the celebrations continued with a temporary tattoo station, a Krispy Kreme doughnut wedding cake and inflatable guitars. The day was full of fun right till the very end, and we even managed to sneak out for a few romantic portraits in the dark!
