Outdoor wedding ceremonies have always been popular, but a relaxation of rules has abolished the restrictive and rather odd requirement for the ceremony to take place under a permanent structure. If you are having an outdoor wedding, this allows you much more freedom and flexibility; you can be as creative as you like with your planning. As a wedding photographer, I’m excited about these changes. Although many approved rooms for weddings are beautiful spaces, they can sometimes be dark. Your outdoor wedding photographs are more likely to feel fresh and bright, while your chosen location might also allow for some more dramatic scenes.

There is an endless variety of locations available for an outdoor wedding. You might choose a beautiful lawned English garden with a gorgeous backdrop of colourful flowers, or you could opt for a whimsical woodland setting with decorations adorning the trees. There are romantic wildflower meadows, mountain or coastal locations, beneath the shade of a tree or at the side of a lake. All of these options make beautiful settings for your wedding photos, and with so many choices, you can make your outdoor wedding truly unique and personal.
