Isabel & Jasonā€™s New Forest Wedding

It was lovely to head down to the New Forest for Isabel and Jasonā€™s wedding, itā€™s a beautiful part of the country. I met up with Isabel at her family home in Brockenhurst where she was getting ready along with her bridesmaids. I loved the surprise gift that Jason had sent for Isabel, a gorgeous pair of earrings in a lovely rustic wooden box that he had made himself.

St Nicholas Church in Brockenhurst

The wedding ceremony took place at St Nicholas Church in Brockenhurst, a lovely little old village church with the most stunning stained glass windows behind the altar. Isabel arrived in a gorgeous black carriage pulled by a pair of white horses. After the ceremony, the couple had arranged a vintage ice cream trike to serve all the guests delicious New Forest ice cream. Unfortunately, it had started to rain but Jason and the ushers braved the weather and dashed backwards and forwards bringing ice cream to the guests sheltering in the church. Undeterred by the weather we took a few portraits around the church grounds with a pretty umbrella to keep the worst of the rain off.

When we had finished at the church Isabel and Jason travelled by horse and carriage through the New Forest to the reception at Rhinefield House. Iā€™d chosen the perfect place on the route to photograph them passing through the countryside and was really hoping that some of the forest ponies would wander through the shot. Unfortunately, the ponies had all taken shelter from the rain, unlike me who ended up a little wet!

Rhinefield House Hotel

Rhinefield House is surrounded by ancient trees and woodlands, the gardens are ideal for portraits and natural photos of guests enjoying themselves. It’s one of those venues where the interior feels grand but cosy, and the gardens elegant, but still maintain a country vibe. The house itself is a Ā blend of 19th century Tudor and gothic architecture and the feature I love the most is the ornamental pond which leads the eye to the beautiful architecture of the house.

On arrival at Rhinefield House the guests enjoyed drinks and canapes indoors but before long the rain cleared and it turned into a glorious day. The gardens around Rhinefield House are really pretty and when the rain stopped we enjoyed some time outdoors for group photos and couple portraits.

The marquee in the grounds looked great with its backdrop of trees, especially after dark when it was lit up.Ā  The interior was beautifully dressed and I really loved how they had strung photos between two poles, they made a great backdrop to the speeches which everyone loved.

The evening party was a wonderful end to the dayā€™s celebrations. Isabel and Jason were lifted by their friends and paraded around the dancefloor, it was great to see the party so full of energy so early in the evening!
