Elegant Glamour at Botleys Mansion Surrey Wedding

Melissa & Michael’s Botleys Mansion Wedding

Spring at Botleys Mansion

Botleys Mansion is a very elegant country house and I’ve photographed several weddings there previously. It’s always a pleasure to work there but this time I was extra excited when I arrived and noticed that the field in front of the house was full of buttercups. I knew straight away that it would be fantastic for the portraits and couldn’t wait until it was time to take Melissa and Michael out there.

My arrival was swiftly followed by a second lovely surprise in the form of Melissa’s adorable children, little Alana offered to make me a cup of tea as soon as I stepped through the door!

Melissa had struggled to find a dress in the whirlwind of wedding planning (can you believe that the wedding took place within six months of Michael proposing!) but her determination paid off as she managed to track down her dream dress that she had found on Pinterest, she looked so elegant and beautiful in it.

The weather was perfect, in fact, it was so perfect that the guests played games on the lawn and from the wedding breakfast and the speeches many of the guests spent most of the celebrations outdoors making the most of the warm sunshine.

And of course, that field of buttercups was every bit as gorgeous as I’d imagined for those golden hour portraits!

Massive thanks to Alex Wilson who was my second shooter for the day, he captured some great documentary images and helped ensure that not a moment of the day was missed.
