Holland Park Engagement Photography – Mews Streets & Flowers

Alex & Simon’s Holland Park Engagement Photography

An Afternoon of Reminiscing

Alex used to be one of my best friends at school. We never fell out but real life got in the way, we left school, went in different directions and then 18 years had passed in what felt like the blink of an eye! It was great to be able to reconnect with Alex through the power of Facebook. You can imagine how excited I was when she asked if I could be the photographer for her wedding to Simon.

Alex decided to make the most of her pre-wedding makeup trial and have their engagement shoot on the same day. It was the first time Alex and myself had met in person for 18 years (as well as the first time I’d met Simon) so there was a lot of catching up and reminiscing as we wandered around Holland Park.

Holland Park is great location for portrait photography with its cobbled streets, archways and mews houses with lots of colourful planting and greenery.  We wandered the mews, chatting and shooting, before making our way to the beautiful Holland Park Gardens. We strolled around the formal gardens making the most of the flowers that were in bloom.

With so much catching up still to be done we ended our afternoon over a glass of wine in a nearby pub. I’m so excited to see Alex and Simon again soon for their wedding!
