Cambridge Wedding Photographer – Corpus Christi
Anne and Dmitry’s wedding at Corpus Christi Cambridge
Anne and Dmitry are such a great couple, down to earth, calm and caring, a combination of Dutch and Russian nationalities. They both met whilst watching the world cup in London when their home countries were playing against each other.
I photographed both their ceremony and wedding breakfast in Cambridge at Corpus Christi College, followed by their Dutch reception at Anne’s parents house in Amsterdam a few weeks later.
Corpus Christi College was where Dmitry studied, so it was a perfect location for their marriage, and certainly very beautiful. The ceremony itself was traditional, filled with choral singing and heartfelt readings.
The college’s 14th century Old Court Lawn made an ideal setting for their formal photos and portraits, this place has so much history, it is one of the oldest colleges in Cambridge, so I was very excited to be in such an amazing location. We were so lucky that the torrential rain cleared just when we needed it to – just in time for Anne and Dmitry’s exit from the chapel!
The wedding breakfast was held in the dining hall, a room that looked like it was straight out of Harry Potter: dark and dramatic, with gold chandeliers overhead and painted portraits lining the walls.
I felt extremely fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful wedding, thank you for having me as your photographer.
